If an app does less than that — if it is a remote control dressed up — it is not adding much.
That is the honest scope. Smart furniture today is mostly about motorized, app-controlled seating done properly. Anything promising far more usually delivers far less.

The price on the tag is not the real cost of smart furniture. Two other numbers matter more.
Maintenance and repair. Moving parts and electronics can fail. The question is what happens when they do.
